Splendour in the Grass: Essentials Guide
For all you babes lucky enough to score tickets to this years Splendour in the Grass we've put together a list of everything to get you through the weekend. Festivals are something I believe everyone needs to experience once (or as many times as possible) in a lifetime. x Gabs
Getting to the Festival:
If you're a Sydney Sider like us and you don't want to waste those valuable style dollars on airplane tickets we recommend grabbing your crew and carpooling up to Byron. Road trips are the best because they're a fun way of getting out of the city for a change of scenery and it's like a pre-party to catchup with your friends and get excited for the festival. A good Road trip playlist is absolutely essential and don't forget to pack easy-to-grab snacks for the journey!
MUST SEE ACTS: LORDE, The Jungle Giants, Khalid, PNAU, Methyl Ethyl
SMALL BAG - A cross body bag or bum bag is also essential for festival season as things tend to go missing while you lose yourself in your favourite act. A small bag big enough to fit all the important stuff like your phone, portable charger, purse, sunglasses, wet wipes and some sneaky snacks is essential to keep your hands free to dance the night away.
MINI SKIRT - Our Halycon Spot Ascend Skirt is the style staple every festival goer should pack for that ultimate Byron Bay bohemian vibe. Mini Skirts are best styled with vintage tees or flowy blouses. We style this skirt with its matching Halycon Spot Idyllic Blouse and boots, OUTFIT SORTED.
LAYERED NECKLACE - Is anyone else as excited as I am about the layered necklace trend? This trend is my absolute favourite this season (and every season). Layered necklaces add an effortless cool girl glam to any outfit and the best part is they can be worn again after the festival is over, YAY.
Outfit Guide:
BOOTS - A cute but comfy pair of boots is a must for any festival. Splendour can get pretty muddy and almost always gets washed out, so I recommend investing in a good pair of ankle boots to keep your dancing feet dry and mud free throughout the weekend. (Splendour has the tendency to get muddy.. REALLY muddy) If you can bear it, something with a small heel will give you a little extra height on the dance floor and keep you a few extra inches out of the water.

FLOWY DRESS - Options, options, options! Our Halcyon Spot Fateful Dress is the perfect flowy, frilly and lightweight dress to battle the changing Splendour temperature, perfect for the daytime on its own for whirling and twirling around to The Jungle Giants but the length adds some extra protection from the winter chill at night. Pair with a denim jacket to up your cool-girl game.
DENIM JACKET - A denim jacket is without a doubt the most important part of your festival wardrobe. Splendour In The Grass is set right in the middle of winter which means you need something that matches every outfit but still keeps you toasty. Layer your favourite vintage Denim Jacket over flowy dresses, skirts and matching sets to battle the winter chill.
LAYERED NECKLACE - Is anyone else as excited as I am about the layered necklace trend? This trend is my absolute favourite this season (and every season). Layered necklaces add an effortless cool girl glam to any outfit and the best part is they can be worn again after the festival is over, YAY.
