Our Limited Edition Prints: Behind the Design
At Three of Something, every print we release starts with a question: what would feel completely new, completely ours, and completely unlike anything already out there? That question drives everything — from the initial sketch to the final fabric swatch.
What Makes a Print "Exclusive"?
When we say exclusive, we mean it literally. Every print in our collection is designed especially for Three of Something — it doesn't exist anywhere else. We work with artists and designers to develop original artwork that becomes the foundation of each season's collection.
Once the print is ours, we don't license it, sell it on, or reproduce it at scale. We make a small batch, and when it's gone, it's gone. That's what makes our limited edition flowy maxi dresses genuinely collectible — not just marketing language.
From Artwork to Fabric
After the artwork is finalised, we select the right fabric base for each design. A bold geometric might suit a crisp woven fabric, while a soft watercolour floral works best on a flowing chiffon or rayon blend. The fabric choice changes how the print moves, how it photographs, and how it feels to wear.
This is why two dresses in the same silhouette can feel completely different — the print and the fabric work together to create the final experience.
Small Batch by Design
We intentionally keep our runs small. Not because we have to, but because we believe limited edition dresses Australia should actually be limited. When you wear a Three of Something dress to a wedding, a party or a special event, you're not going to walk in and see someone else wearing the same thing.
That's a rare feeling in modern fashion — and it's one we protect fiercely.
